Inspired by the biblical Exodus—where God led the oppressed out of bondage into freedom—we exist as a space for those who have felt displaced, harmed, or unseen in traditional church spaces.

We follow Jesus, the ultimate liberator, by centering the outcast, loving without condition, and pursuing justice as an act of faith. Here, we build a new way of being church—one rooted in decolonized discipleship, prophetic imagination, and the sacred work of restoring dignity to all people.

Rooted in the legacy of the Exodus story, where God led the oppressed into freedom, this collective is for those who have left behind religious spaces that no longer reflect the radical love of Jesus. We are creating a modern-day hush harbor and bohío—sacred, hidden spaces where historically oppressed people gathered in secret to worship, heal, and dream of liberation. Our digital community will serve as a sanctuary for those across the country who are searching for a home beyond the walls of traditional institutions.

In light of the ongoing threats to democracy, the rise of Christian nationalism, and the ways marginalized voices continue to be silenced, The Exodus Collective stands as a prophetic response. We are building a space where faith is decolonized, justice is central, and community is nurtured in love.
